These 8 1/2 x 11 inch signed softcover sketchbooks were written and compiled by William Stout as a tribute to one of his greatest influences... Charles R. Knight, the artist who defined dinosaurs for the rest of the 20th Century world.
Volume #2 is over 50 pages featuring more than 140 unpublished wild life drawings by Knight. It also contains tributes from other artists who were influenced by Knight’s work, including Frank Frazetta, Mark Schultz, Stephen R. Bissette, and Robert Williams.
Volume #3 contains a full 58 pages and a total of 165 drawings, twenty of which depict prehistoric animals (including Knight's step-by-step reconstruction of an allosaur biting a young brontosaurus). Tributes from those who were influenced by Knight’s work: Joe Kubert, Edwin H. Colbert, Philip Currie, Doug Henderson, Gregory Paul and Robert McCracken Peck.
